PC1 Group shall have panel discussion at Conference “Developing eco-industrial parks – towards the goal of reducing net emissions to zero”

The workshop shall take place on June 17 at Nam Cau Kien Ecological Industrial Park (Hai Phong) and is the first activity in a series of events on “Promoting green growth” – towards the goal of reducing net emissions by 0 organized by Mekong – ASEAN Magazine.
The workshop “Developing eco-industrial parks – Towards the goal of net zero emission reduction” will cover and discuss three main groups of content:
Firstly, the role of eco-industrial park development in the strategy of sustainable economic development is identified and evaluated; as well as incentive policies for new investors as well as “greening” of traditional industrial parks.

Through the seminar, managers, economic experts, businesses and investors have opportunities to survey reality, assess the prospects, concerns and interests of the parties in the cooperation process. , production and business activities in eco-industrial parks.

Secondly, it is known that eco-industrial parks is always associated with the concept of “circular economy”. Around the world, large industrial production groups are trying to come up with solutions to save energy, save and turn waste into resources, forming a production chain following the green growth model.
In Vietnam, the Prime Minister has just issued Decision No. 687/QD-TTg dated June 7, 2022 approving the project of developing circular economy in Vietnam. The project promotes the application of the model, increases awareness, and attracts the investment interest of domestic and foreign businesses and investors in the circular economy model in order to green economic sectors.

Third, as an aspect unable to be ignored in the sustainable development strategy, reducing net emissions to zero is the use of renewable energy in production activities. In the current situation of national and world energy security, which is always in a state of “warning”, the development of self-sufficient renewable energy in industrial parks is also a topic of discussion.

The seminar had the participation of representatives of State management agencies from the Department of Economic Zones Management (Ministry of Planning and Investment), Institute of Strategy and Policy on Natural Resources and Environment (Ministry of Natural Resources and Environment). ); Economists and scientists: Prof. Dr. Dang Kim Chi – Vietnam Association for the Protection of Nature and Environment, Prof. Pham Van Thuc – Academician of the French National Academy of Medicine; Foreign trade and investment promotion organizations; Representatives of businesses: Mr. Pham Hong Diep, Chairman of the Board of Directors of Shinec Joint Stock Company, Mr. Nguyen Viet Hung, Sales Director – Green Energy, PC1 Group Joint Stock Company and investors in Hai Phong.

As a professional EPC contractor in the field of developing Renewable energy projects, the representative of PC1, participating in the discussion  shall share opinions about renewable energy trends in Vietnam and in global recently as well as PC1’s optimal solutions for oriented cooperation in Development of Solar energy used in production.
