Overview of Tan Phu Dong 1 wind power plant project
After holding the inauguration ceremony of the Tan Phu Dong 2 wind power project in March 2022, Tien Giang Wind Power Joint Stock Company also decided to start construction of the Tan Phu Dong 1 wind power project on the sea. According to the plan, this factory project will complete the construction and installation works and then be put into operation in October 2022. The project started construction in Tan Phu commune (Tan Phu Dong district), Tan Thanh commune, Tang Hoa commune, Phuoc Trung commune (Go Cong Dong district), Yen Luong commune (Go Cong Tay district) and Go Cong town, Tien Giang Province.
The investor in the Tan Phu Dong 1 wind power project is Thanh Thanh Cong Group (TTC Group). As planned, the project has a total installed capacity of 100 MW. With such capacity, the plant is expected to provide an annual electricity output of up to 307.6 million kWh.
In this project, PC1 carries out items including technical design, legal services, and procurement. There is also construction and development, production, as well as installation, testing, commissioning, and COD for the power plant. Key development milestones of the project include:
- From August 17, 2022, to September 11, 2022: Installing electrical cabinets and 1 . turbine tower
- From September 15, 2022 – September 19, 2022: Installing turbine 2, turbine 3, Nacelle, Hub, and turbine blades
- From October 18, 2022 – October 20, 2022: Installing turbine 24 (last turbine)
Investment level of Tan Phu Dong 1 wind power plant project
Tan Phu Dong 1 wind power plant has a total investment capital of up to VND 4,464.54 billion. In which, the investor’s capital accounts for 30%, equivalent to 1,339.36 billion VND; 70% of the remaining capital is bank loans, equivalent to 3,125.28 billion VND. The whole project is built on an area of 22 hectares that belongs to districts and towns in Tien Giang.
The project includes the following items:
- 24 wind turbine towers with an area of about 200 m²/pillar
- Line 35KV
- Operational manager and substation 35/110KV with an area of about 3ha
- 110KV transmission line with a foundation area of about 4.5 ha
In addition, according to the decision, the Tan Phu Dong 1 Wind Power Plant Project will have an operation period of 50 years from the date of issuance of the decision on investment policy.
