The IA Bang 1 Wind Power Plant Project Overview
The IA Bang 1 Wind Power Plant Project was conducted in October 2020. In October 2021, the plant was completed and energized after just a year. The project has a total capacity of 50 MW installed. The annual power output is projected to be around 146,190 MWh. The Gia Lai Electricity Joint Stock Company is the project’s investor.
PC1 is an EPC general contractor that handles legal services, technical design, procurement, construction, development, production, installation, testing of lines and substations, and COD for power plants.
The project’s scale and design
The IA Bang 1 wind power project has a capital investment of up to VND 2,200 billion.A total of VND 660 billion comes from investor capital, while VND 1540 billion comes from bank loans. The entire project had a total area of 305,598 m². In terms of design, the following items and materials are assigned:

Progress of the IA Bang 1 Wind Power Plant project
The IA Bang 1 Wind Power Plant Project is divided into 3 phases as follows:
- Quarter II – IV/2020: preparing feasibility study documents and basic project design, organizing bidding; selection of contractors for consulting, construction, supply and equipment installation.
- December 2020: Commencement of project construction
- October 2021: Completion
The project must have been operational within 50 years of the date of the Decision’s approval.

The project has successfully utilized environmentally friendly and safe energy sources. It therefore contributes to a reduction in CO2 emissions of up to 150 thousand tons per year.
