An Overview of the South Korea – Tra Vinh Wind Power Plant Project<\/span><\/h2>\n

In December 2019, the South Korea – Tra Vinh Wind Power Plant Project (V1.1) was completed. The factory was finished and put into production in September 2021. The project has a total capacity of 48MW installed. Tra Vinh 1 Wind Power Company Limited is the project’s investor. Climate Investor One, ST International-Korea, and the European Union are all sponsors of the project.<\/span><\/p>\n

The Project Scale<\/span><\/h2>\n

The South Korea-Tra Vinh wind power plant has a capital investment of around VND 2,400 billion. The plant is built on a water and land surface area of around 1,210 hectares, with a water surface area of 1,209 hectares and a land area of 2.14 hectares.<\/span><\/p>\n

The plant is designed with 12 turbines with a capacity of 4.0 MW per turbine. The project also includes the installation of a 20.3-kilometer-long 110kV power transmission line to the EVN Duyen-Tra substation. It generates almost 155 million KWh of electricity each year from there. Substations, an operation management ward, workshops, and concrete bridges connect the wind turbines in a project management and operation area on land.<\/span><\/p>\n

As a result, the plant has effectively exploited the advantages of Tra Vinh province’s wind resources. It will be feasible to generate clean electricity while also reducing pollutants. In addition, the initiative offers jobs for local residents. The annual contribution to the local budget is between 30 and 40 billion VND (after the tax exemption period expires).<\/span><\/p>\n
